Pastor-Elect Kevin C. Cook is a native of Spotsylvania, Virginia. He accepted Christ as a child while attending Zion Hill Baptist Church in Cooktown, Virginia. A product of the Spotsylvania County School System, he continued his education at Germanna Community College in Locust Grove, Virginia, and pursued further studies with the Defense Intelligence Research and Analysis Division of the Department of Defense. He faithfully served the Department for 35 years before retiring.

A humble and spiritually gifted servant, Pastor-Elect Cook has dedicated over 40 years to ministry. His journey has included serving as an usher, Elder, Chairman of the Deacons for more than 30 years, and leadership in Youth Ministry, Teaching Ministry, Vacation Bible School, and various other ministries.

In 2010, he co-founded and planted Living New Life Community Church in Spotsylvania, Virginia. The church was established on the foundation of John 4:23:

“But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.”

— with truth as its focal point.

Through his leadership and devotion to God’s Word, Pastor-Elect Cook continues to empower Living New Life to be a spiritual, economic, and social light to the world. He believes in teaching the saved, imparting knowledge, preaching to the unsaved, and transforming hearts through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

He enjoys spending time with his family, traveling in his motorhome, studying history, attending car shows, and watching sports. He especially cherishes quiet moments studying the Bible with his loving wife, Shelia Tyler Cook, who has walked alongside him in ministry since the beginning. Together, they are blessed with three amazing adult children: Caleb (their miracle child), Keturah (Physician Assistant in Maryland), and Tabitha (a rising sophomore at VCU).
